PRESENTATIONS

1. Mount Dora Fun Fact - it has been a full year since I began picking up metal cans for recycling throughout Mount Dora. I was thrilled to report the numbers for the year. 6,161 pounds of metal cans were collected and recycled over the last 12 months. From those recycled cans $934.43 was donated to Lake Cares Food Pantry. Thank to those who participate. Soon we will add cardboard to the list of materials to be picked up for recycling. If you want to participate in placing your cans and/or cardboard out for pickup please email me.

PUBLIC HEARINGS

1. Request Approval of First Reading of Ordinance No. 2023-06, Amendment to Section 42.4 of the Mount Dora Code of Ordinances to allow Golf Carts on Certain City Streets - Passed 7-0 with direction to make minor revisions to the Definitions.

DISCUSSION ITEM

1. Amendment of City of Mount Dora Land Development 3.5.14.4 Related to Draft New Model Homes - Vice Mayor Crail proposed a change to our Land Development Code that could limit a Developer proceeding with Model Home construction. City Council gave direction to the City Attorney and City Staff to draft the proposed change to bring back to City Council for public hearing and vote.
